Responsibilities:
● Perform general clean-up of grounds and facilities.
● Clean and paint station and treatment plant equipment.
● Make repairs to meters ranging from 5/8″ to 2″.
● Investigate customer complaints and high bills.
● Inspect services and facilities based on complaints or investigations.
● Flush and service mains, inspect fire services, and double check valves.
● Collect water samples and manage meter operations.
● Assist in service installations and repairs, including cleaning and replacing meters.
● Complete necessary paperwork and maintain effective communication with customers.
● Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● High School Diploma or GED.
● Construction or plumbing experience equivalent to a laborer or apprentice.
● Valid Driver’s License.
● Knowledge of operation, maintenance, and repair of pumps and related equipment.
● Familiarity with water and wastewater systems and safety regulations.
● Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
● Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.
● Capability to interact with employees and customers safely and amicably.
