Responsibilities:
● Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
● Prepares work area for installation of equipment.
● Installs electrical components according to specifications.
● Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specifications.
● Operates tools and equipment only if trained and certified to do so.
● Sets up and operates tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, and cable vacuum systems.
● Reads blueprints and electrical drawings to install as specified.
● Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances per drawings or plans.
● Secures and locks up equipment after use.
● Holds a State Journeyman Electrician Certification in required states or demonstrates knowledge in states without.
● Delivers safe projects on schedule and within budget.
● Exhibits excellent knowledge of the Building Codes.
● Maintains strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
● Must be able to work in all elements, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
● Regularly wears personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves.
● Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, including potential overtime and night shifts.
● Must perform manual tasks including crawling, standing, stooping, and lifting heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
● Routine repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
● Physical work is a primary part of the job (more than 70%).
