Responsibilities:
● Plan, perform, and oversee proper functioning of various piped systems including natural gas, medical gases, and fire protection.
● Receive and review work orders, assigning tasks to plumbers and mechanics.
● Coordinate schedules and projects with the Engineering Supervisor and/or Manager.
● Ensure a safe environment compliant with The Joint Commission standards.
● Repair, adjust, or replace plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment as per state plumbing codes.
● Install and service plumbing systems, fixtures, and controls for transporting water and waste.
● Perform maintenance on plumbing systems and fixtures, including installations and adjustments.
● Review drawings and plans for system repairs or modifications.
● Coordinate with outside utility vendors and contractors as needed.
● Respond to emergency calls and perform inspections to detect operational issues.
● Manage inventory and tools required for plumbing work.
● Install fixtures for new work and remodeling projects.
● Supervise trades assigned to plumbing projects.
● Maintain regular, punctual attendance in line with health policies.
● Adhere to all policies and procedures of Orlando Health.
Qualifications:
● High school graduate or equivalent.
● Valid Florida driver’s license with no more than six (6) points.
● At least 21 years of age and insurable under Orlando Health’s standards.
● Five (5) years of plumbing experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
● Three (3) years’ experience is acceptable for trade or vocational school graduates.
