Responsibilities:
● Assisting in the preparation, fabrication, assembly, and installation of plumbing and piping systems
● Helping conduct pressure testing on new and existing systems
● Installing valves and flow switches
● Participating in monthly classroom training to learn about blueprints and troubleshooting
● Maintaining tools, repairing equipment, and keeping work areas clean and organized
To succeed as a Plumbing Apprentice, you should have:
● Mechanical inclination and ability to follow directions closely
● Good communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised
● A professional appearance at all times
● Reliable transportation to job sites
● A high school diploma or equivalent
No prior construction experience is required, but it is helpful. Basic skills and knowledge of the trade and an understanding of materials and tools used in the industry are essential.
What to Expect:
● Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50lbs
● Work at heights, on ladders or lifts, in various weather conditions for extended periods
If hired, you’ll need to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
