Responsibilities:
● Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures, including restroom facilities, water heaters, pumps, and backflow devices
● Sketch and layout work from drawings and interpret blueprints, ensuring compliance with codes
● Operate tools and equipment such as drills, jackhammers, and pipe threading machines
● Create and access records, respond to emergencies, and coordinate work with stakeholders
● Drive and operate Authority vehicles to job sites across the campus
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or G.E.D. required
● Two years of journey-level plumbing experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
● Current Backflow Testers License issued by the County of San Diego or State of California within one year of employment
● Valid driver’s license with the ability to maintain insurability under the Authority’s vehicle insurance policy
