Responsibilities:
● Plan, prepare, install, and maintain piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials.
● Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to create working procedures.
● Gather equipment and materials needed for installation.
● Weld, cut, bend, thread, solder, and fit pipes as required.
● Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets or clamps.
● Install various types of pipe covering and dispose of old coverings safely.
● Inspect pipes and test for pressure and leaks, reporting any issues.
● Coordinate with management for machinery maintenance and repairs.
● Comply with safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
● Maintain records, including safety logs and inspection details.
● Promote a positive workplace and safety culture.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Basic math skills.
● Ability to use various tools, including blowtorches and welding torches.
● Capacity to read schematics and blueprints.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Understanding of safety principles and practices.
● Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
● Ability to work well in a high-paced environment.
● Strong problem-solving skills.
Physical Abilities:
● Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 lbs. routinely.
● Comfortable climbing ladders and stairs during work shifts.
● Capable of conducting site inspections and using tools safely.
● Able to follow safety protocols and report incidents immediately.
Training:
● Must provide proof of completing OSHA 10-hour training within 60 days of starting.
