Responsibilities:
● Committing to our mission and demonstrating our core values
● Obtaining plumbing permits in line with City of Lincoln requirements
● Maintaining construction specification manuals and coordinating plumbing construction phases
● Regularly inspecting and maintaining plumbing systems, including medical gases and waste disposal
● Installing, repairing, and maintaining building systems and equipment per codes and guidelines
● Conducting biannual fire pump tests and maintaining logs for regulatory compliance
● Responding to all maintenance requests concerning plumbing or related repairs
● Collaborating with personnel, contractors, and regulatory representatives
● Leading other maintenance personnel and providing direction and mentoring
● Writing and updating preventive maintenance procedures and schedules
To be successful in this role, you will need:
● A high school diploma or equivalent
● A Master Plumber License from the Examining Board of Plumbers
● A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a mechanical trade related to plumbing
● Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and maintenance practices
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
● Ability to direct and support coworkers to meet service timelines
● Valid State of Nebraska Driver’s license and responsible driving record
We prefer candidates who possess additional certifications, such as Medical Gas System Installer Certification or Water Operator Grade VI Certification.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves heavy physical work, including lifting and moving objects. You will need to stand for extended periods, and occasionally work at heights or in challenging environments. Personal protective equipment will be provided as required.
