What You Will Do:
● Receive hands-on training on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites.
● Participate in certified training through our Service Technical Academy to enhance your skill set and provide advancement opportunities.
● Work under the guidance of experienced mentors, developing the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and customer needs.
● Keep Johnson Controls, contractors, and customers informed about job progress and any issues that arise.
● Attend required Union training sessions to support your development during your first year.
● Recommend solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently and explore upselling opportunities.
● Provide quotes to support your service recommendations.
What We Look For:
● Membership or willingness to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry.
● At least 1 year of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC field.
● A solid understanding of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, site preparation, and service techniques.
● Strong interpersonal skills for professional interactions with customers and team members.
● Leadership potential to assist Mechanics working on non-complex mechanical HVAC equipment.
● A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently over time.
● A commitment to prioritizing safety in all aspects of work.
● A valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
● 1-2 years of trade school or college education with a technical focus.
This is a Bargaining Unit Position with an hourly rate determined by a collective bargaining agreement. Benefits are provided through a local labor union.
