Responsibilities:
● Interpret plans, specifications, and work instructions to complete assigned installations or assemblies.
● Install HVAC equipment (Chillers, AHUs, etc.), pipe, and assemblies.
● Perform skilled tasks related to the fabrication, layout, installation, repair, or maintenance of piping systems and equipment.
● Work collaboratively with general contractors and other trades.
● Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
● Provide instruction, training, and guidance to trainees or apprentices to promote safe work practices and skill development.
● Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in an organized, safe, and serviceable condition.
Qualifications:
● Minimum of 4 years of HVAC piping experience required.
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project documents.
● Strong understanding of HVAC systems and applicable codes.
● Proficient in trade math and the safe use of hand and power tools.
● Strong understanding of job site safety standards and a commitment to following all safety policies.
● Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and clients.
● Knowledge of multiple types of piping systems and connection methods (Steel, Copper, HDPE, PPR, etc.).
● Knowledge of DX piping and Pipe Welding (ASME qualification) is preferred.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
● OSHA 10 certification is a must.
