The Kitting Associate is responsible for assembling custom packaging kits that include corrugated and foam components to meet customer specifications. This role involves preparing, cutting, gluing, and assembling materials using specialized tools and equipment to ensure high-quality and timely production of packaging solutions. Position Summary:
The Kitting Associate is responsible for assembling custom packaging kits that include corrugated and foam components to meet customer specifications. This role involves preparing, cutting, gluing, and assembling materials using specialized tools and equipment to ensure high-quality and timely production of packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble custom packaging kits consisting of corrugated and foam components.
• Cut, glue, and melt foam pieces according to work instructions and product drawings.
• Operate the Zünd cutting machine and other equipment to cut foam or corrugated materials.
• Use printers and labeling equipment to produce and apply kit labels as required.
• Inspect materials for quality and accuracy before and after assembly.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and assembly instructions to ensure correct build.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily schedules and quality standards.
• Report material shortages, defects, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives within the department.

Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, assembly drawings, and measurements.
• Basic math and measurement skills using rulers, tape measures, and calipers.
• Manual dexterity and ability to operate hand tools, cutting tools, and glue equipment safely.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
Preferred:
• Previous experience in kitting, assembly, or packaging manufacturing.
• Experience with foam or corrugated material handling.
• Familiarity with Zünd machines or similar cutting equipment.
