Responsibilities:
● Installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment and electrical circuits.
● Troubleshooting electrical circuits or equipment to identify and fix malfunctions.
● Laying out, cutting, and installing conduit, wiring control panels, and connecting/disconnecting machine tool wiring.
● Using various hand tools and test instruments, such as voltmeters and ammeters.
● Working from complex schematic and wiring diagrams, as well as written and verbal instructions.
Qualifications:
● A high school diploma or GED.
● Knowledge of electrical test equipment, codes, and materials.
● Completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training to qualify as a journeyman.
● A journeyman’s card or certification of completion of a training program.
● A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a formal apprenticeship.
● Eligibility for obtaining and maintaining security clearance, requiring USA Citizenship.
Preferred qualifications include:
● Knowledge of general math, including Ohm’s Law calculations.
● Experience with CMMs such as Maximo.
