Key Responsibilities:
● AV System Installation
– Install and terminate audio, video, and data cables using various methods.
– Mount and secure displays, projectors, speakers, and other AV hardware.
– Rack and stack AV equipment according to diagrams.
– Commission and test installed AV systems for performance.
● Low Voltage / Trade-Aligned Tasks
– Drill, fish, and run cable through various materials.
– Perform cable pulls, conduit runs, and terminations.
– Follow wiring diagrams and verbal directions for installations.
– Maintain organized pathways and structured cabling.
● General Construction Support
– Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and lifts.
– Lift up to 50 lbs and manage large equipment and supplies.
– Provide site cleanup and light construction as needed.
● Team & Client Interaction
– Work with Project Managers and Lead AV Technicians.
– Mentor junior installers and guide them as needed.
– Communicate effectively with clients and site representatives.
Qualifications:
● Prior experience as a Low Voltage Electrician, Cable Installer, or in a similar role.
● Interest in audio/visual integration is preferred.
● CTS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
● Proficiency with hand and power tools and cable termination techniques.
● Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
● Must pass a background check, MVR, and drug test prior to start.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Compensation & Benefits:
● Competitive hourly pay: $30-$80/hour (based on experience)
