Responsibilities:
● Lead and supervise a team of roofing technicians, providing guidance, training, and hands-on support for projects involving single-ply membranes and coatings.
● Work closely with project managers and clients to determine project requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
● Review roofing plans and specifications to determine materials and labor requirements.
● Coordinate and schedule roofing projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion.
● Conduct on-site inspections to assess roofing conditions, recommend repairs, and develop solutions.
● Oversee the installation of single-ply membranes (EPDM, TPO, PVC), ensuring proper seam welding, flashing, and adhesive application.
● Manage the application of coatings and sealants, ensuring correct surface preparation and compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
● Enforce and monitor strict safety protocols, ensuring team compliance with industry regulations.
● Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, material usage, and labor tracking.
● Conduct quality inspections to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards.
● Coordinate material procurement with the purchasing team to ensure timely project execution.
● Resolve project issues efficiently, collaborating with project managers and clients to implement solutions.
● Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new roofing technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
● 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on commercial roofing.
● Proven expertise in single-ply roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, PVC).
● Moderate experience with BUR and modified roofing systems is a plus.
● Familiarity with the application of roof coatings and sealants.
● Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, managing roofing projects and teams.
● Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to roofing installation, maintenance, and repairs.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
● Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
● Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, managers, and team members.
● High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality work.
● Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
