Responsibilities:
● Conduct plumbing inspections under the guidance of a senior inspector or supervisor
● Verify compliance with approved plans, material standards, and applicable codes
● Document inspection findings and assist in creating maps for property records
● Review plumbing plans and engineering designs for compliance with regulations
● Prepare draft correction notices and follow up on plumbing deficiencies
● Support verification of contractor licensing on job sites
● Provide information regarding plumbing code requirements to the public
● Participate in pre-construction and problem-resolution meetings

Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Four years of experience as a licensed plumbing journeyman or equivalent experience
● Knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, rules, and ordinances
● Ability to interpret and apply code language to detect defects in plumbing installations
● Strong communication skills in English
● Valid state-issued driver’s license
● Licensed as a journeyman plumber in the State of Idaho

Preferred Qualifications:
● Associate’s degree in engineering or related field
● Five years of journey-level experience or governmental plumbing inspection experience
● Certifications from IAPMO or other recognized boards
