Responsibilities:
● Install, maintain, modify, and repair different types of pipe systems including steam, air, water, gas, and chilled water lines
● Lay out and repair plumbing in lavatories, drains, sewer lines, hydraulic systems, and pumps
● Cut and drill openings in walls, floors, and ceilings for pipe installations
● Measure, cut, bend, thread, and hang pipes
● Construct brackets, hangers, and holding devices for pipe supports
● Connect lengths of pipe using appropriate fittings and methods
● Check plumbing systems for proper functionality using pressure gauges
● Dismantle, insulate, and replace plumbing components
● Maintain a clean work area and equipment
● Observe safety precautions to prevent accidents
● Be available for 24-hour calls as needed
● Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications:
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● At least three years of relevant experience
● Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety practices
● Ability to read blueprints and diagnose plumbing issues
● Back-flow prevention certification is preferred
● Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs
● Ability to work on ladders and move about campus
● Strong communication skills to interact respectfully with faculty, students, and visitors
● Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
