Responsibilities:
● Assist in the installation of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings.
● Help with the assembly and installation of water supply, drainage, and heating systems based on blueprints and specifications.
● Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
● Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
● Assist in handling, organizing, and maintaining an inventory of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
● Observe and learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, such as leaks, blockages, and malfunctions.
● Help with cutting, bending, and threading pipes.
● Familiarize yourself with and safely operate various plumbing tools and equipment.
● Learn and adhere to local and national plumbing codes and regulations.
● Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
● Participate in formal plumbing apprenticeship programs, classes, and workshops.
Qualifications:
● Well-organized and detail-oriented.
● Good customer service skills.
● Ability to follow instructions and be willing to learn.
● Prepared to travel to clients’ homes as needed.
● Dedication to a career in plumbing and actively pursuing certification as a Journeyman.
● Strong paperwork skills for managing timecards and service work orders.
● Competent English communication skills.
● Valid driver’s license and an acceptable MVR record.
● Willingness to develop a personal tool inventory, with assistance from the company.
