Responsibilities:
● Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials.
● Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to create working procedures.
● Gathers equipment and materials for the job efficiently.
● Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes as required.
● Attaches pipes and piping systems using brackets or clamps, and prepares holes for installation.
● Installs various types of pipe covering and safely disposes of old coverings per EPA and OSHA regulations.
● Inspects pipes to test for pressure and leaks; identifies and resolves problems.
● Coordinates with management for maintenance and repair schedules to minimize disruptions.
● Complies with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
● Assists with jobsite safety and maintains safety logs and inspection records.
● Champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
● Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Basic math skills and ability to use various tools (blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, welding torches).
● Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Strong organizational and detail-oriented mindset.
● Understanding of safety principles and practices.
● Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
● Adaptable and willing to learn new skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Must provide proof of successful completion of OSHA 10-hour training within 60 days of starting.
