Salary: $20.77 – $27.34/hr based on qualifications and experience.
This position is eligible for full city benefits, including:

Key Responsibilities:
● Gain hands-on training and skill development in various trades, with a primary focus on plumbing.
● Assist in performing preventative maintenance for building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
● Learn to repair facility structures, systems, and components, including minor plumbing repairs.
● Identify maintenance projects needing outside contractors; assist in evaluating project costs.
● Maintain records related to preventative maintenance and repairs.
● Respond to city emergencies and assist with snow and ice removal.
● Understand and follow all safety procedures.
● Operate a city vehicle safely and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● One year of general work experience, including in trades or labor (education or training may substitute work experience).
● Valid driver’s license.
● Knowledge of tools, recordkeeping, and workplace safety procedures.
● Basic computer skills.
Working Conditions:
● Outdoor and indoor work, exposure to various weather conditions.
● May encounter hazardous conditions and noise.
● Requires frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing, and lifting objects up to 75 lbs.
